Job Description
An Electrician on an oil ship is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems and equipment onboard to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations in offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchboards, and control panels
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of shipboard electrical equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs
• Monitor power distribution systems to ensure efficient operation
• Maintain lighting systems, communication equipment, and navigation support systems
• Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and electrical regulations
• Assist in emergency repairs during system failures
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections

Requirements:
• Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
• Experience in marine, offshore, or oil & gas industry preferred
• Knowledge of ship electrical systems and safety procedures
• Ability to work in harsh offshore conditions and long shifts
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
