Job Description
Pipe Fitter:

installs, assembles, fabricates, maintains, and repairs high-pressure and low-pressure piping systems (water, steam, chemical, gas) in industrial or commercial settings. Key duties include reading blueprints, cutting/threading pipes, welding joints, and conducting safety tests. It requires strong mechanical skills, physical stamina, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Installation and Assembly: Lay out, fabricate, and install piping systems, supports, and related equipment according to specifications and codes.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and isometric drawings to plan layout and design.
• Cutting and Threading: Cut, bend, and thread pipe using saws, cutting torches, and pipe benders.
• Welding and Joining: Join pipe sections using welding, brazing, soldering, or cementing techniques.
• Testing and Inspection: Conduct hydrostatic, pressure, and leak tests on systems to ensure integrity and compliance with standards.
• Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace existing piping and fixtures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an apprenticeship program is usually preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding (TIG, MIG, Stick), pipe fabrication, and tool operation (grinders, torches).
• Mathematical Aptitude: Ability to calculate pipe angles, measurements, and pressure requirements.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift heavy materials.
• Safety Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols, especially when handling hazardous materials.

Work Environment

Pipe fitters often work in industrial settings like refineries, power plants, chemical factories, and construction sites. The work may involve working weekends or overtime to meet project deadlines

Job Location: Ghana for 7 months and then back to India and will be deployed as per Project demand’s Location. After 1 month If Candidate wish to travel abroad then we will assign the project.
