Job Description
Job Title: Fitter & Welder – Solar PV (Residential & Commercial)

Experience: 2–4 Years (Minimum 1–2 years in fabrication / structure installation / welding work preferred)

Job Summary:

Responsible for fabrication, fitting, and installation of solar module mounting structures for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects, ensuring proper alignment, strength, and durability as per design and site conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install solar module mounting structures as per design layout

· Perform welding and fabrication work for structure assembly

· Handle cutting, drilling, and fitting of MS / GI structures

· Ensure proper alignment and leveling of structure

· Assist in solar panel mounting on structures

· Follow technical drawings and layout provided by design team

· Ensure structural strength and stability of installation

· Coordinate with electrician and project team during installation

· Maintain safety standards during welding and installation work

· Handle tools and equipment properly at site

Technical Knowledge Required:

· Knowledge of structure installation and fabrication techniques

· Basic understanding of solar mounting structures (RCC roof / Tin shed / Ground mount)

· Ability to read basic layout drawings (preferred)

· Understanding of welding techniques (Arc welding / Gas welding)

· Knowledge of material handling (MS, GI, Aluminum structures)

· Awareness of site safety practices

Tools & Equipment Handling:

· Welding machine (Arc / Gas)

· Cutting tools and grinding machines

· Drilling machines and hand tools

· Measuring tools (Tape, level, etc.)

Required Skills:

· Strong fabrication and welding skills

· Attention to alignment and accuracy

· Ability to work on rooftops and outdoor sites

· Physical strength and stamina for field work

· Team coordination with installation crew

· Safety-conscious approach

Qualification:

· ITI Welder / Fitter (Preferred)

· Relevant field experience will also be considered

Additional Requirements:

· Willingness to travel to project sites

· Ability to work at heights (rooftop installations)

· Experience in solar structure installation will be an added advantage
