Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CO₂ Welder (MIG Welder) to join our fabrication team. The candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on components and structures used in material handling equipment such as scissor lifts, goods lifts, stackers, and industrial trolleys. The role requires precision, knowledge of welding techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform CO₂ / MIG welding on MS (Mild Steel) structures and fabricated components Read and understand fabrication drawings and welding symbols Set up welding machines, select appropriate parameters (current, voltage, wire feed) Ensure strong, defect-free weld joints with proper penetration and finish Carry out grinding, finishing, and minor fitting work as required Inspect weld quality and rectify defects such as cracks, porosity, or distortion Follow welding procedures and quality standards Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition Adhere strictly to safety practices, including use of PPE Preferred Experience Experience in material handling equipment manufacturing (lifts, trolleys, stackers, etc.) Familiarity with different welding positions (flat, vertical, overhead) Exposure to TIG or Arc welding is an added advantage
