Job Description
• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including kitchen and mechanical room items.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for functionality.
• Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radios) as required for maintenance tasks.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to the next shift using approved communication methods.
• Acquire knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related areas.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb, and A/C filter replacement.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system for safety before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinklers.
• Display basic computer skills (input air handler schedules, make temperature changes).
• Follow company safety and security policies; report hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety certifications.
• Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and show genuine appreciation.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
• Develop positive working relationships with team members to reach common goals.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving up and down stairs, ramps, and ladders, and bending, twisting, or stooping.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Preferred Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, painting, surface preparation.
• Experience in hotel engineering/maintenance is a plus.
