As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for heavy vehicle drivers in Delhi is ₹18,500 per month as of 1 April 2026. Overtime is paid at double the rate after 8 hours daily. Employers must also provide weekly rest of 24 consecutive hours.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, applicants must hold a valid commercial driving licence issued under the Motor Vehicles Act and be at least 20 years old. A minimum of 2 years driving experience on the relevant vehicle category is mandatory. Medical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner is also required.

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, drivers are limited to 8 hours of work per day and 48 hours per week. They are entitled to 15 days of earned leave after 240 days of service plus 10 festival holidays. Night shift drivers receive an additional allowance of ₹150 per night.
