Cleaning Operatives — multiple roles

As per GOV.UK, the National Living Wage for restaurant workers aged 21 and over is £12.80 per hour from 1 April 2026. Workers aged 18-20 receive £10.50 per hour and those aged 16-17 receive £7.55 per hour, with no separate rate for hospitality roles. Employers must pay this for all hours worked including training shifts.

As per GOV.UK, restaurant roles below skilled worker threshold require a Seasonal Worker visa valid for up to 6 months with a £1,270 maintenance fund shown. The visa costs £298 and allows work only with a licensed sponsor in hospitality. Extensions are not permitted beyond the 6-month limit.

As per GOV.UK, no formal qualification is mandatory but employers require a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for handling food in restaurants. The certificate must be obtained within 3 months of starting and costs £20-£50 for the 6-hour course. Experience is not required for entry-level roles.
