Workers under 21 receive £10.75 per hour and those under 18 receive £8.60 per hour with no exceptions for warehouse packing roles. Overtime must be paid at the same minimum rate.
Q Do I need a visa to apply for packing jobs in the United Kingdom as a non-UK resident in 2026?
Non-UK citizens require a Skilled Worker visa sponsored by a licensed employer or a Temporary Work visa for seasonal packing roles under the Seasonal Worker Scheme which runs until 31 December 2026. The visa application fee is £719 for up to 3 years and applicants must show £1,270 in savings unless the sponsor covers maintenance.
Q What education or experience is required for packing jobs in the United Kingdom?

Employers typically require a basic CV showing any warehouse or manual handling experience and a valid passport or birth certificate for right-to-work checks.
Q What documents do I need to apply for a packing job in the United Kingdom?
Applications require a passport or birth certificate, National Insurance number, proof of address dated within 3 months, and bank details for payment. If applying via an agency a P45 or P60 from previous employment must also be provided within 7 days of starting.
