Job Description
Summary

The Restaurant Servers contributes to the successful execution of daily food and beverage service. Working closely with the F&B leadership, the role ensures the seamless delivery of Hyatt's service standards, enhancing the overall guest experience during restaurant operations.

Essential job functions:
β€’ To be familiar with all food and beverage items on the restaurant menu.
β€’ To prepare the restaurant for operation, including mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables, cleaning and other assigned tasks.
β€’ To take food and beverage orders from guests, upselling wherever possible.
β€’ To utilize the restaurant’s point-of-sales system as prescribed
β€’ To ensure that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items and other procedures mentioned in the cash handling policy.
β€’ To serve food and beverages according to the Andaz and Hyatt serving standards established.
β€’ To complete opening and closing duties as assigned which includes setting up of takeout stations, service stations and cutlery stations.
β€’ To be flexible wherever possible in meeting special requests and allergies from guests for specific food and beverage preparation methods and ingredients.
β€’ To follow presentation guidelines established by the food and Beverage Management.
β€’ To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
β€’ To ensure that all company minimum brand standards are implemented, and that optional brand standards are implemented where appropriate.
β€’ To work in a supportive and flexible manner with other employees and other departments
β€’ To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
β€’ Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Job Requirements
β€’ Hours: Flexible and long shifts; scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, colleagues may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
β€’ Ability to stand during entire shift.
β€’ Minimum three years of previous serving experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; lift boxes (up to 50 lbs); talk and hear. Medium work - Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 50 lbs of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
