Job Summary

The TIG Welder cum Fabricator & Polisher is responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, modifying, finishing, and polishing stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment. The role supports both factory production and on-site delivery & installation works, ensuring all equipment is installed professionally, safely, and according to approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities1. TIG Welding & Fabrication
• Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel (SS 304 / SS 316) kitchen equipment.
• Fabricate kitchen equipment such as:
• Stainless steel tables and counters
• Exhaust hoods and ducting
• Cabinets and shelving
• Sinks and grease traps
• Custom-made stainless steel items
• Interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and fabrication details.
• Ensure welds are clean, smooth, and hygienic (food-grade standard).
• Conduct repairs and modifications when required.

2. Grinding & Polishing
• Grind and finish weld joints smoothly.
• Perform satin, hairline, and mirror polishing finishes.
• Remove scratches, welding marks, and surface imperfections.
• Ensure final product appearance meets Sofia Ref. LLC quality standards.

3. Delivery & Installation Support
• Assist in loading/unloading fabricated items safely.
• Install stainless steel equipment at project sites.
• Perform on-site welding adjustments and modifications.
• Coordinate with installation team, supervisors, and project engineers.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and final fixing of installed equipment.

4. Quality & Safety Compliance
• Follow company safety policies and UAE site safety regulations.
• Use proper PPE (gloves, goggles, welding mask, safety shoes).
• Maintain tools and welding machines in good condition.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and power tools.

5. Team Coordination
• Work closely with:
• Production team
• Installation team
• Project Engineers
• Site Supervisors
• Support urgent project requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in TIG welding stainless steel.
• Experience in commercial kitchen equipment fabrication is mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Skilled in using:
• TIG welding machine
• Grinding & polishing tools
• Cutting & bending tools
• Knowledge of food-grade stainless steel finishing standards.
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials.
• Willing to work overtime and at different project sites across UAE.
