Job Description
Position Overview:

The Track Welder assists the Head Welder in executing welding tasks and handles light welding activities unsupervised.

Roles and Responsibility:

Performs the welding activities such as: Aluminum-Thermic Welding, Flashbutt Welding, Manganese crossing weld repairs, Cutting rail, Clipping and un-clipping rail, Rail de-stressing, Spot Grinding, Turnout Grinding, Switch & Crossing inspection, Manual tamping at the welding joint, & other general track maintenance activities
• Works under the instruction of the Head Welder
• Responsible for the welding equipment
• Performs operator maintenance on the welding equipment in accordance with the supplier's guidelines and specifications
• Ensures that the welding activities are performed safely according to the safety and environmental guidelines.

Academic Qualifications:
• High School Certificate or equivalent

Professional Qualifications:
• Aluminum-Thermic Welding certificate
• FlashButt Welding operator certificate
• Manganese crossing weld repair certificate

Stressing of CWR level I-II-III certificate
• Full UAE driving license
• Basic Knowledge of Track Geometry desirable

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of track welding experience
• Experience in track maintenance activities desirable
• Relevant industry experience

Other Skills:
• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill
• Ability to work in a multicultural team
