Job Description
• Perform welding on metal components and structures using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy. Ensure that welds meet industry standards and project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components as needed.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and protective gear.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure that all welds are completed to a high standard and are free from defects. Perform routine checks and tests on welds as required.
• Work with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently and address any welding-related issues.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or diploma in welding or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder in the oil and gas industry. Experience with large-scale projects is an advantage.
