Job Description
Master Carpenter

The Master Carpenter is responsible for supervising and performing advanced carpentry work including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and interior finishes. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform advanced carpentry work including furniture fabrication, cabinetry, doors, windows, partitions, and decorative woodwork.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain wooden structures and furniture in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden materials.
• Supervise and guide junior carpenters and helpers.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Estimate material requirements and maintain inventory of carpentry supplies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Diploma or certification in Carpentry or Wood Technology.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a carpenter, preferably in hospitality or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Leadership and supervisory skills.
