As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the minimum wage for security guard roles in United Arab Emirates is AED 2,500 per month as of 2026. This includes a basic salary of AED 1,800 plus food and accommodation allowances of AED 700. Overtime must be paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours beyond 8 per day.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, foreign security guards require a work permit sponsored by a licensed security company before entry on a 60-day job seeker visa. The employer must pay a AED 3,000 security deposit and obtain MOHRE approval within 30 days of arrival. Renewal occurs every 2 years with medical fitness and good conduct certificate.
