Role Overview

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Welding Engineer (IWE Certified) to support ongoing oil and gas and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing welding activities, ensuring compliance with international codes, and supporting project execution from both a technical and quality standpoint.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical expertise in welding engineering processes and materials.
• Review and approve WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), PQR (Procedure Qualification Records), and WQT (Welder Qualification Tests).
• Ensure welding activities are executed in line with international standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, API) and project specifications.
• Verify welding consumables, base materials, and equipment are suitable and compliant.
• Troubleshoot welding-related issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, project engineers, and contractors for technical clarifications.
• Support quality audits, inspections, and documentation related to welding.
• Mentor and guide welders and junior engineers on proper welding practices.
• Maintain accurate welding records and prepare technical reports.
• Participate in meetings and provide expert technical input to management and project teams.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification from IIW. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Welding Engineering is acceptable.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in welding engineering.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and international standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, API).
• Hands-on experience in inspection, fabrication, and QA/QC processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Immediate availability for mobilization preferred.
