Job Description
Prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes (grilled, fried) in line with the restaurant’s menu and standards.Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients.Clean, cut, marinate, and portion fish and other seafood efficiently.Develop and suggest new seafood recipes and menu items.Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety as per UAE regulations.Monitor kitchen inventory and coordinate with management for timely purchasing of seafood and supplies.Supervise and guide kitchen assistants and junior cooks.Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes during service hours.Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workstations.Control food wastage and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations.Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies. Proven experience as a Seafood Chef / Cook in a restaurant, preferably in the UAE or GCC.Strong knowledge of different types of fish and seafood, including cleaning and cutting techniques.Expertise in Arabic, or multi-cuisine seafood preparation is an advantage.Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge preferred).Strong teamwork and leadership skills.Ability to manage kitchen operations independently.Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.Good communication skills (basic English required; Arabic is a plus).Passion for cooking and creating high-quality seafood dishes
