Synopsis

The Corporate Security Officer plays a critical front-line role in safeguarding Etihad Airways’ people, facilities, and accommodation environments - with a particular focus on crew accommodation security.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of security services, incident response, initial investigations, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external authorities. Acting as the key interface between on-site security guards and Corporate Security management, the Officer ensures that security standards, procedures, and response protocols are consistently applied across multiple locations.

The role requires sound judgement, calm decision-making under pressure, and a hands-on operational mindset, including the ability to respond to incidents outside scheduled shifts when required.

Accountabilities

Operational Security Oversight
• Oversee and coordinate third-party security guards across multiple Etihad crew accommodation sites (including Etihad Plaza, Masdar, Al Forsan, and other locations).
• Conduct regular security inspections, patrol reviews, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to Etihad Corporate Security policies and procedures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site guards, ensuring clear communication, escalation, and reporting lines.

Incident Management & Investigation
• Respond to security incidents involving crew members, facilities, or accommodation areas.
• Conduct initial incident investigations, including evidence gathering, CCTV review, and incident reporting.
• Provide immediate on-site support to crew members during security-related incidents.
• Attend police stations or government offices with crew members when required and support liaison processes.

Risk Assessment & Prevention
• Identify security risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities across accommodation and commercial sites.
• Assess risk levels and take immediate action within delegated authority to mitigate or control threats.
• Recommend preventive security measures and improvements based on observed trends and incidents.

Stakeholder & Authority Liaison
• Liaise closely with UAE Police, government authorities, emergency services, and relevant agencies on security matters.
• Support investigations and compliance requirements in line with local regulations and corporate standards.
• Represent Corporate Security in operational discussions with internal stakeholders as required.

Reporting, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and operational updates in English.
• Monitor security guard performance through inspections, KPI assessments, and service reviews.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps in procedures and recommending practical enhancements aligned with industry best practice.

Shift & Emergency Coverage
• Work rotational shifts, including morning shifts and scheduled night shifts (12-hour night shifts approximately 2–3 times per month).
• Respond to emergency call-outs outside of scheduled shifts in the event of major or critical incidents.

Education & Experience
• Diploma preferably in aviation security management or related field
• Preferably 3 years experience in airline operations and/or physical security
• In-depth knowledge of Corporate Security procedures, Information Security, Access control, CCTV, Alarms, rapid response. And loss prevention.
• Possess a sound awareness of the international security environment.
• Possess an investigative and analytical mindset, critical thinking and problem solving.
