Job Description
Supervise, guide and monitor the Welding Supervisors and Foremen involved in the daily operations of Welding section to ensure overall safety and reliability of equipment & crew and the efficient management of the Welding activities

RESPONSABILITIES: Supervise all activities associated with structural, piping welding

Identify requirements for personnel, equipment and welding consumables to meet project requirements

Coordinate with Welding Supervisors / Foremen, Welding Inspectors and third party NDT personnel

In charge of all the welding activities

Responsible for carrying out welding trials, qualification of welding procedures, training of welders

Responsible for implementing the applicable welding and QA/QC procedures and maintaining welders’ qualification validity

Conduct toolbox meeting with welding crew and promote safety awareness among them

Supervise setting up of welding, bevelling and clamping equipment and inspect the same for correct settings

Monitor consumption of welding electrodes, shielding gases, welding flux and other related material and report short-falls or request replenishment ahead of time to warehouse and field engineer

Coordinate with client, third party and inspection team on welding issues

Trouble shooting of welding related problems and maintain progress

Take necessary actions to establish a safe working environment

Compliance in accordance with Company codes and HSE standards

QUALIFICATIONS: Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification, or equivalent
