Job Description
Role Overview

The MEP Plumber works as part of the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing team on construction and facilities projects. This role involves installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, and related piping systems in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Installation & Repairs
• Install and repair water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, sewerage and stormwater systems.
• Perform pipe cutting, threading, bending, fitting and secure piping using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Install fixtures and appliances (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers) as per design requirements.

Reading Plans & Coordination
• Read, interpret, and work from plumbing drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other MEP trades (mechanical & electrical) and civil works to prevent clashes and ensure timely work progress.

Testing & Quality Assurance
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation using pressure gauges or other test methods.
• Check compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Diagnose plumbing problems and provide effective corrective actions.
• Maintain plumbing tools, access equipment, and ensure proper housekeeping at the site.

Safety & Compliance
• Follow UAE safety regulations, building codes, and company safety procedures at all times.

Typical Requirements

Qualifications
• Technical certificate, diploma, or vocational training in plumbing, mechanical trade, or a related field.
• UAE work experience in MEP plumbing (advantageous but not always mandatory).

Skills
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in plumbing installation.
• Good understanding of local plumbing codes and standards.
