REPORTING TO: INSTALLATION OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

FUNCTIONAL CO-ORDINATION: INSTALLATION OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities Perform welding, cutting and fabrication of steel and alloy piping systems used in gas distribution networks. Prepare work surfaces, pipes and fittings for welding ensuring alignment, cleaning and proper joint preparation. Carry out different welding techniques such as SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG) and Oxy‑Acetylene as required by project specifications. Read and interpret P&IDs, drawings and technical specifications to execute welding work accurately. Conduct inspection of welds using visual, dimensional and NDT methods (e.g. dye penetrant, magnetic particle, RT) under guidance or per quality plan. Ensure all welding activities are carried out in compliance with ADNOC HSE PTW and hot work permit procedures. Coordinate with QC officers for weld inspection, non‑conformance reporting and corrective actions. Maintain tools, welding machines, electrodes and safety equipment ensuring proper care and readiness. Assist in assembly alignment and installation of piping systems at PRMS commercial meters or city gas facilities. Follow site safety procedures, use PPE and implement fire prevention and hot work safety measures during welding operations. Report any defects, damage or deviations to the Site Supervisor and QC officer promptly. Participate in training programs to update welding techniques, safety practices and ADNOC standards compliance. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Certified in welding (SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG) from a recognized authority. Knowledge of ASME, API, ADNOC or local standards for welding preferred. Experience 35 years of welding experience in oil & gas or industrial piping systems. Hands‑on experience with steel and alloy piping used in gas or utility projects. Familiarity with hot work permits, safety regulations and site welding standards.
