Job Description
Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chargehand – Shuttering Carpenter to supervise and coordinate shuttering/formwork activities at the construction site. The candidate will be responsible for guiding carpenters, ensuring proper installation of formwork, and maintaining quality and safety standards in high-rise building projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and guide shuttering carpenters at the construction site.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, and dismantling of formwork for concrete structures.
• Read and understand construction drawings and formwork layout.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth work progress.
• Allocate daily tasks to carpenters and monitor work productivity.
• Check the quality and accuracy of shuttering work before concrete pouring.
• Ensure proper use of materials such as plywood, timber, steel formwork, and scaffolding.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure workers follow site safety procedures.
• Report daily progress and any issues to the site supervisor or engineer.
• Ensure materials and tools are properly used and stored.

Skills & Requirements
• Strong experience in formwork and shuttering works for columns, beams, slabs, and walls.
• Ability to read structural drawings.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of different formwork systems (traditional timber / aluminum / Doka / Peri).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Qualification
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise building construction preferred.
• Previous experience as Shuttering Carpenter Chargehand or Foreman.
