Job Description
The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional dining experience. This role requires fluency in Arabic to assist and communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking guests manage reservations and coordinate smooth seating arrangements. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival. Manage the reservation system including booking confirming and updating reservations. Organize seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency. Communicate wait times to guests and manage expectations during busy periods. Escort guests to tables and provide menus including sharing information about specials and restaurant offerings. Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally particularly for Arabic-speaking guests. Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready for guests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand lobby and dining area. Support guest feedback collection and communicate issues to the Restaurant Manager. Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards. Perform other tasks as assigned to support restaurant operations. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant. Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing); additional languages are a plus. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy periods. Familiarity with reservation systems is an advantage. Flexibility to work shifts weekends and public holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods and walk guests to tables. Comfortable moving around the restaurant as required.
