Traveling from the Singalila Forest to the hill station of Shimla involves a long journey across the Indian heartland. You will first travel from the forest to NJP station. From NJP, board a train to Chandigarh, which serves as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. From Chandigarh, you can take a bus or hire a taxi for the 115 km climb to Shimla. This route offers a transition from the lush tea gardens of Bengal to the pine-covered slopes of the Shivaliks.
