The journey from Selaqui to Kedarnath covers approximately 260 km through the rugged Garhwal Himalayas. You must first travel to Dehradun ISBT, then take a bus or taxi to Rishikesh, followed by the long drive to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, the final 16 km stretch to the Kedarnath shrine is strictly a trek or pony ride. This route involves navigating NH 7 and NH 107, which are prone to landslides during monsoon. It is a spiritual pilgrimage route requiring high physical endurance.
