The route from Rhenak to Nathang Valley spans approximately 70 kilometers, climbing steadily into the high-altitude zones of East Sikkim. You will traverse the historic Silk Route, passing through Rongli and Zuluk before reaching the valley at 13,500 feet. This journey is strictly by private vehicle, as public transport does not operate on this remote stretch. The drive takes roughly 4 to 5 hours due to the steep ascent and frequent stops for permit verification. Expect dramatic landscape changes from lush forests to barren, snow-capped alpine meadows.
