The journey from Rangpo to Shimla spans approximately 1850 km across the breadth of Northern India. You must first descend to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station via road, which takes 3 hours. From NJP, board a long-distance train to New Delhi, followed by a connecting train or bus to Shimla. This route traverses the Gangetic plains before ascending the Shivalik range.
