The journey from New Tehri to Amritsar spans approximately 550 km through the scenic Himalayan foothills and the plains of Punjab. You must first descend to Rishikesh or Haridwar by road, which takes about 3 hours. From Haridwar, you can board the Jan Shatabdi or other express trains to Amritsar.
