The journey from Margherita to Shimla covers approximately 2400 km. You will travel from the lush tea gardens of Assam to the hill station of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. Rail travel is the most common, involving a change in Guwahati or Delhi, followed by a train to Kalka and the famous toy train to Shimla. Alternatively, flying from Dibrugarh to Chandigarh (then a taxi to Shimla) is the fastest option. This journey offers a beautiful transition from the plains to the mountains.
