Tirupati is a major pilgrimage destination located just 130 km from Maraimalai Nagar. You can easily reach it by train from Chennai Central or by bus from the Koyambedu bus stand. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours via the Tirupati-Chennai highway. Many pilgrims prefer the train for its convenience and frequency. The city is famous for the Venkateswara Temple located on the Tirumala hills.
