Reaching Gangtok from Jasidih involves a combination of rail and road travel. You must first board a train to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station, which is the gateway to Sikkim. From NJP, you can hire a shared or private taxi for the scenic 120-kilometer drive to Gangtok. The road journey takes you through the lush Teesta River valley. Total travel time is usually between 14 and 16 hours.
