Reaching Gangtok from Dewas requires a long-distance train journey to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) in West Bengal. From NJP, you must hire a taxi or take a shared jeep to cover the final 120 km through the scenic Teesta River valley. The road journey takes about 4 to 5 hours. Ensure you have your inner-line permits if traveling further into North Sikkim.
