The journey from Bijbehara to Leh is a long, high-altitude expedition covering 450 kilometers. You will travel via Srinagar, Sonamarg, and cross the Zoji La pass to enter Ladakh. This route is part of the strategic NH 1. Expect a travel time of 14 to 16 hours, often requiring an overnight stop in Kargil. The landscape changes dramatically from the green Kashmir valley to the arid, high-altitude desert of Ladakh.
