The journey from Amta to the Queen of the Hills, Darjeeling, covers about 680 km. You must take a train from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri (NJP), followed by a scenic 3-4 hour drive up the hills. Darjeeling is world-famous for its tea gardens, the Toy Train, and stunning views of Mount Kanchenjunga. The final drive through the winding mountain roads is an experience in itself.
